Every address book side by side. Drag a contact where it belongs.
Canal shows your CardDAV and Microsoft 365 address books as columns in one window, with one search across all of them. Move a contact by dragging it, edit it in place, and give it a photo picked from any web page.
- CardDAV and Microsoft 365
- Photos picked and cropped in place
- Edge add-in for web pages
- Sends nothing to Vediram
From a web page to a contact
Open Canal’s side panel in Microsoft Edge beside a profile, a company page or an email signature. Click a picture on the page and it becomes the contact’s photo, ready to crop in the same window as in Canal. From then on, the contact shows that photo in every list instead of their initials.
Fill the other fields from the page too: press + beside a field and draw a rectangle around its text. Then save. Nothing is written until you do, and Canal checks for an existing contact first so you can update it instead.
Coming soonDraw once around a whole signature and fill every field
Every change has a way back
Edit a contact in the side panel, change its photo and crop it, or delete it. Each save, move and delete lands in the history with an Undo, and Undo will not overwrite a contact someone changed since.
The copies Canal keeps for Undo are encrypted for your Windows account and stay on this PC for up to 30 days. Settings shows how much space they take.

Canal is free for Windows, without product support. It talks directly to your CardDAV server and to Microsoft 365, and nothing passes through Vediram. A Microsoft 365 contact’s photo cannot be changed from Canal yet, and creating a contact there cannot be undone. The add-in runs in Microsoft Edge. Read the Canal terms and the Canal privacy notice.
